Snippet from Book

A demonic inhuman howl erupted from my mouth. Black blades sprouted from underneath my fingernails. Something shuddered inside me demanding release. I felt my muscles tremble and my bones become elastic. My skin bubbled and hissed like melting cheese on a skillet. Then the pain came, delicious, primal pain of demonic awakening at the most desperate moment of my young life. My body was no longer my own. My jaws parted wider and wider to allow the emergence of pointed black teeth. All of it happened in just a few seconds, but to me it felt like eternity until my new senses fixed my prey in my sights. About This Great Book

Naoko Kitamura is one of the best cops in the cityís police force in Osaka, Japan. However, her human appearance hides a dark secret that must be hidden from humans. Naoko is a demon hybrid, a descendant of a demon and a samurai.

Struggling to uphold her motherís legacy as defender of Japan against evil, she faces human and nonhuman enemies determined to alter her countryís destiny. Her powers are both a blessing and a curse, for, by being extraordinary, Naoko can never live an ordinary life.

For her, the road to victory will be written in blood.

From A Review

Review Rating: 5 Stars

Demon Heart is well-crafted in beautiful prose and I enjoyed the first person narrative which allows the reader the opportunity to appreciate the psychological conflict even better.

From The Author

My interest in Japanese history and manga inspired me to write this novel. We all believed in magic when we were children. I believe that many of us still want to believe in some form of magic as adults.

In this novel, I have introduced a modern-day fantasy with elements of horror, action and adventure. This is my first attempt at dark fantasy, and I hope you find it entertaining.

I invite you into my world. The doors are open.
