Bob Spear

Bob and his wife, Barb, have owned The Book Barn in Leavenworth, Kansas, since 1979. Bob brings these years of experience to the editing task. You can be assured he knows what readers demand, and he does everything possible to make certain your work measures up.
What's more, Bob has been on the author end of things. He has nine books to his credit. Two done by major houses; seven published through his own company. So he understands the position of an author far better than most.
He edits and typesets routinely for several publishers, and he often works directly with authors in helping them prepare their work for presentation to a publisher. He has even begun representing a few authors to interested publishers, but this is on a very select basis.
You can reach Bob by email at heartlandreviews@kc.rr.com Or visit one of his websites at http://www.heartlandreviews.com

If you're looking for an established professional to edit your manuscript, Bob may be the best available. He's quick and he's thorough, which means you can count on the results. While you can feel free to point out things you feel need a look, chances are Bob will nail all problems and apply a great fix. And what may matter most, you'll find it easy to work with Bob.
Bob's editing fees are: ($400 Minimum) $7 per 1,000 words for copyediting and light content editing. If you've checked around, you've found many editors charge more. But it's doubtful the quality of their work is equal to that of Bob's.
Rates are a bit higher for full copyediting. If you need this, your best bet is to contact Bob directly, then work together to figure a rate, specific to your manuscript. And if needed, he also does serious rewriting that falls only a tad short of ghostwriting. Again, fees are reasonable, but you'll want to chat with Bob about the specific details.
